Welcome Back

Welcome back parents and students! The 2015-2016 school year began today and there is a lot to look forward to this year.

The PTA has a brand new executive board. Congratulations to:

  • President – Angie Stump
  • First Vice President – Barb Wirsing
  • Second Vice President – Nancy Piccicuto
  • Secretary – Emily Kulaga
  • Treasurer – Robin Gaines

The first PTA meeting will be held Wednesday, September 16th at 7pm in the school multi-purpose room. Dr. Gerringer and/or Mrs. Smith will be conducting the first volunteer orientation of the year that night at the meeting.

Please remember that parents are NOT permitted to volunteer at the school if they have not completed this orientation. Volunteering includes helping the PTA, classroom teachers, and attending/chaperoning field trips!

Below is a list of scheduled PTA meetings, but please keep in mind that these dates are subject to change:

  • October 14th – Guest speaker third grade teacher Mrs. Danielle Thackston (Common Core ~ What parents need to know!)
  • December 2nd
  • January 13th
  • February 10th
  • March 9th
  • April 20th
  • May 18th
  • June 15th

Laps for Learning will be held on Wednesday, October 21st (rain date October 28th). This is the only PTA fundraiser of the year and it is lots of fun for the students. More information coming soon!
